Far from an ideal growing season, 2018 was a cool and wet year.  As a result this wine exhibits cooler climate characteristics, not commonly seen in the Monticello AVA.  Elegant and balanced in form, this is an old world style medium-bodied red with plenty of earth, dark fruit, notes of dried herbs, brambly brush and fine tannins.
