Tasting Notes
Dynamite on the nose, just oozing with classic Chenin character—think lanolin, quince, and straw—that benefits enormously from the subtle contribution of some seriously classy oak. You notice the barrels not so much on the nose, but there is the tiniest whiff of smoke that's quite lovely, on the palate, which has wonderful grip, structure and real length. The wine has density, amplitude, fruit, and real acid pop that together guarantee a long and positive evolution in bottle. I would bet this will only improve over the next 3 years, taking on more of a honeyed, spicy character with age, and could well survive another 7-8.
