Tasting Notes

Already quite expressive on the nose, with a really distinctive candied orange character, with pretty, spicy accents and a little laurel emerging with oxygen. This has loads of energy on the palate; if there's any residual sugar here it isn't much, and it's all but buried by a combination of acid and minerality. There's a fair bit of phenolic structure here as well that lends a bit of chew to the finish. Another white I wouldn't be in a hurry to pop. Knowing Riesling's proclivity for long-aging, I think another year or two will help things fully integrate, while giving the already intriguing aromatics some time to really pop.

Food Pairing

Something with some spice and sweetness, perhaps Chicken Satay.
