Tasting Notes

A lovely, classic Virginia Chardonnay. Jonagold apple, toast, and vanillin on the nose with touch of bananas foster lurking in the background. Good richness and texture here; a tongue-coating white that retains enough acidity from its cool climate and limestone soil to still present with plenty of lift and energy. Only beginning to show signs of secondary development and still a touch of dusty oak tannin to absorb, this bottle strikes us as having a healthy 2-3 years of positive development in front of it.

Food Pairing

Rich seafood, think Coquilles St. Jacques
